About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Reefer Specialist to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with clients in the external shipping market.
Key Responsibilities
- Client visits and new business development to identify and secure new clients
- Client retention by maintaining existing relationships
- Filing and checking of SQs (Shipper’s Quotations)
- Freight applications: applying for rates, routings, feeder space, waivers, etc.
- Providing customers with freight rate quotations
- Handling shipment and service queries if required
- Liaising with Principal on business matters
- Sharing guidelines, notices, sailing schedules
- Database updates
- Working on tenders and freight contracts negotiations
Requirements
- Matric
- Tertiary qualification in Maritime studies/Import/Export advantages
- Minimum of 3 years experience in shipping environment in sales or similar
- Extensive knowledge of Reefer clients and market
- Knowledge of steri shipments/PPECB/referer insurance claims
- At least 1 year experience in reefer market sales

- Tertiary qualification in maritime studies/Import/Export advantages (advantage)
