About the Role
The Supervisor – Finishing Goods role is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of all receiving, storage, and outgoing warehouse processes to meet materials and logistics performance criteria and targets. This position requires effective leadership, engagement with management, fellow leaders, and organizational customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Check daily supplier deliveries for goods to be moved from the Receiving Bay to the Warehouse through an effective schedule of resources.
- Report any over/under supply of goods to the buying department.
- Check daily Customer Deliveries Schedule for the picking of goods to be organized for goods to be moved to the Finished Goods Bay.
- Use the daily Customer Delivery Progress Reports as the basis for delivery scheduling.
- Use the daily Production Delivery Progress Reports as the basis for following up on delivery scheduling.
- Prioritize defective and incomplete receipts, production or deliveries of components to eliminate delays to customers.
- Follow-up with Receiving Department and Production Supervisors on late deliveries from Production and schedule deliveries.
- Check that all goods loaded for despatch to various Customers and destinations align with documentation and identification.
- Monitor workday schedule and plan appropriate shift coverage to meet delivery targets.
- Analyse shift/daily handover information, receipts, picking, and production reports to determine daily plan.
- Capture all stock & goods movement onto the Inventory Control System as and when processed and before shift end.
Requirements
Strong computer skills in MS Office, SAP, or similar Inventory System.
