About the Role
Efficiency Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Electrical Assistant to join their team in Benoni. As an Electrical Assistant, you will provide support to qualified Electricians with electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and repairs. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and assisting with various tasks on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified Electricians with electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and repairs
- Support with the preparation, handling, and safe use of electrical tools, equipment, and materials
- Assist with cable pulling, cable routing, cable tray work, and general electrical site preparation
- Identify basic electrical faults under supervision
- Support with routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Report electrical defects, hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment concerns to the supervisor immediately
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment at all times
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
- Relevant Technical and Vocational Training in Electrical Studies or Electrical Engineering (advantageous)
- Previous experience as an Electrical Assistant or in a similar technical environment (advantageous)
