About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PrEng Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our consulting team in Johannesburg, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. As the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and external contractors, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless project execution while adhering to ECSA regulations and MHSA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate mechanical engineers
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and external contractors
- Enforce quality management systems and facilitate HAZOP and risk assessment studies during project implementation
- Ensure adherence to ECSA regulations and MHSA standards in all projects
Requirements
- BSc or BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification mechanical engineering experience
- Experience gained in the EPCM consulting environment with mining and mineral processing projects
- Proven track record in processing plants (e.g., PGM, Gold, Base Metals, etc) and heavy rotating/materials handling equipment
Qualifications
- ECSA Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration is highly preferred
