About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ICT Support professional to join our team in Ekurhuleni, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and software, as well as excellent troubleshooting and customer support skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, system, and network issues
- Respond to service desk requests and resolve user issues within SLA requirements
- Set up new user accounts, profiles, and passwords
- Replace faulty hardware components where required
- Support the rollout of new applications and system updates
- Maintain ICT documentation and hardware/software registers
- Obtain quotations for ICT-related repairs and replacements
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment
- Test and evaluate new technologies
- Provide user support and technical reporting
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal users and third-party service providers
Requirements
- Relevant ICT Diploma or similar qualification
- Minimum 3-5 years corporate IT support experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and software
- Experience supporting LAN and WLAN environments
- Proven troubleshooting and technical support experience
- Valid Code B drivers license
