About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Debtors / Creditors Clerk to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in debtors and creditors/bookkeeping roles, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile customer accounts and accurately process incoming payments
- Monitor, follow up on, and report on outstanding and overdue accounts
- Generate and distribute statements of account
- Resolve customer account queries professionally and efficiently
- Maintain positive and professional customer relationships
- Process and verify supplier invoices and credit notes
- Reconcile supplier statements to vendor line items and age analysis
- Prepare, check, and process supplier payments
- Issue remittance advice to suppliers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and administrative filing systems
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Support cash flow management and basic financial reporting
Requirements
- 3 years experience in a Debtors and Creditors / Bookkeeping role
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
- Experience working on Sage accounting software
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping
- Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong time management and organisational abilities

- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
