About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment processes, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration in a fast-paced dealership environment. As an H.R. Generalist, you will play a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation, and providing first-line HR guidance to management and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including advertising, screening, interviews, reference checks, and appointment documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction in line with dealership standards.
  • Partner with line managers on workforce planning and staffing requirements.
  • Provide first-line HR guidance to management and staff.
  • Support disciplinary processes, grievances, and performance matters in line with legislation and company policy.
  • Administer and support performance review processes.
  • Assist managers with corrective action plans, probation management, and development initiatives.
  • Coordinate training interventions, compliance training, and skills development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and personnel files.
  • Administer leave, attendance, probation, and termination processes.
  • Draft HR documentation including warnings, notices, letters, and reports.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 35 years of HR experience, preferably within automotive, retail, or service environments.
  • Solid experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance at dealership level.
  • Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation.

Qualifications

  • MIBCO exposure highly advantageous.
