About the Role

Our client in the Construction and Engineering industry is seeking a highly skilled Finance Administration Manager to join their team in Woodmead, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and ensuring quality of work carried out by the general ledger and controlling team, as well as providing financial administration support to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure quality of work carried out by the general ledger and controlling team.
  • Review Balance sheet reconciliations and ensure items are cleared.
  • Timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual closure.
  • Quarterly consolidation and management reporting to the Netherlands.
  • Manage monthly reporting to Corporate Groups.
  • Prepare recons between – local and global TB – local and financial statements, financials and global TB for auditors.
  • Tagetik, upload, verify correctness, complete intercompany transactions quarterly, and complete quarterly notes, consolidation.
  • Tagetik /ABW reconciliations.
  • Tagetik /Vision reconciliations.
  • The drafting of the (single) statutory accounts of the South African operating companies.
  • Manage preparation and audit files for annual audit and communication with the auditors.
  • Roll forward to new financial year for SA companies.
  • Updating financial statements with non-financial information.
  • Incorporate information that is required to complete financial statements to comply with IFRS for SME’s.
  • Resolve identified differences and irregularities within the Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Liaise with Business Line Controllers to ensure proper application of finance and accounting policies and practices.
  • Continuously contribute to improve management information in terms of efficiency, reliability and accuracy.
  • The global coordination and implementation of process-related work within our ERP system ABW.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation and present to rest of business for easy implementation.
  • Translate regulatory requirements to system requirements and manage the system change and implementation.
  • Assist controlling in forecasting and budgeting.
  • Manage the controlling process.
  • Incorporate Corporate Group budgets in our financial information system.
  • Improve the reporting process through improvements in financial information systems.
  • The performance and personal/professional development of the General Ledger Team staff.
  • Supports the Senior Finance Manager in all aspects related to Corporate Finance South Africa strategy, organization, information and tools required to perform the Finance objectives.
  • Provide the Senior Finance Manager with cash forecast for rolling 12 months.
  • Ensure all prepayments have been processed for the month.
  • Ensure all accruals have been processed and previous ones cleared.
  • Complete reports for STATS SA as follows, 4xquarterly, 2x yearly reports
  • Clear all GL audit findings and report back to the FM.
  • Assist FM in clearing all non-Financial Audit findings.
  • Assist business with ad hoc reporting requirements.

Requirements
