About the Role
Join our client, a major diversified industrial business with deep roots in Southern Africa, as a Consolidation Accountant. You will be part of a dynamic finance team that values accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data from multiple sources and has a flair for ensuring that numbers are not only correct but meaningful.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS and internal reporting standards.
- Lead the consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of results from multiple business units.
- Analyze consolidation variances and drive the resolution of accounting issues or discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, audits, and reporting requests from stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA(SA) qualified).
- Minimum of 35 years experience in financial accounting or consolidation reporting.
- Exposure to group consolidations within a corporate environment is highly advantageous.
- Previous work with multi-entity financial reporting and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS).
