About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Fine Dining restaurant at a Wine Estate in Franschhoek. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in luxury dining environments and exceptional leadership skills, with a passion for creating world-class guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations
  • Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver 5* service
  • Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams
  • Monitor reservations, guest satisfaction, and service flow
  • Maintain stock control of beverages and oversee supplier relationships
  • Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Drive revenue and manage budgets while controlling costs
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly with professionalism

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • A formal qualification
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager in a 4- or 5* establishment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of fine dining service standards
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a guest-centric mindset
