About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Fine Dining restaurant at a Wine Estate in Franschhoek. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in luxury dining environments and exceptional leadership skills, with a passion for creating world-class guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the restaurant’s daily operations
- Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver 5* service
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams
- Monitor reservations, guest satisfaction, and service flow
- Maintain stock control of beverages and oversee supplier relationships
- Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Drive revenue and manage budgets while controlling costs
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly with professionalism
Requirements
- Grade 12
- A formal qualification
- Proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager in a 4- or 5* establishment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- In-depth knowledge of fine dining service standards
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a guest-centric mindset
