About the Role
A well-established boutique hotel in Cape Town is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Financial Manager to oversee all on-site financial operations and controls. This role requires strong hospitality finance experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with both operational and support office teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all property-level finance functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with group SOPs
- Review and approve purchase orders and ensure correct budget allocation
- Manage cash flow, including petty cash and credit card reconciliations
- Validate daily revenue submissions and ensure timely financial reporting
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and operating equipment registers
- Oversee inventory controls, variance checks, and final system sign-offs
- Drive and manage the annual budgeting process at property level
- Prepare and analyse management accounts with variance reporting
- Produce flash and projection reports to support business decisions
- Support pricing of extras and ancillary services in collaboration with operations
Requirements
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance, with at least 2 years in luxury hospitality (essential)
- Strong MS Office skills
- Experience with accounting systems (Sage advantageous)
