About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and creative Junior Interior Design Assistant to join our team in Durbanville. As an assistant, you will be responsible for supporting senior designers with various aspects of interior design projects, while developing your skills and knowledge in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of interior design concepts and presentations
- Create and amend drawings, layouts, and 3D models
- Support senior designers with project coordination and sourcing
- Prepare mood boards, material selections, and client proposals
- Conduct basic site measurements and assist with installations where required
- Ensure all drawings and documentation are accurate and updated
Requirements
- Qualification or studies in Interior Design or related field (completed or in progress)
- Proficiency in SketchUp and/or Rhino
- Basic understanding of space planning and design principles
- Strong attention to detail
- Creative flair with a practical mindset
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work under deadlines and take direction well
