About the Role
A leading paint manufacturer situated in Cape Town is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Research and Development Technical Analyst to join their team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for driving innovation and improvement in product development, quality control, and raw material testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitor the execution of research and development projects relating to ongoing product maintenance and new developments.
- Conduct quality control procedures.
- Test and evaluate current raw materials and explore alternative options.
- Gather and analyse data within research and development projects for reporting on, interpreting, and solving problems related to product maintenance and new development.
- Analyse raw material testing data for consistency and maintaining raw material standards.
- Monitor and mitigate potential quality concerns in the production space.
- Report on and solve problems related to the transfer of laboratory work into the production space.
Requirements
- 3-5 years extensive experience in a R&D environment, preferably in the coatings, inks, plastics, or adhesives field.
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, Composite Engineering, or a related subject is desirable but not essential.
