About the Role

The Head of Finance & Funding will lead and execute the full funding lifecycle, managing relationships with key stakeholders and overseeing financial modelling and investment analyses. This role requires a senior finance leader with strong commercial judgement and decision-making ability, who can drive cash flow management and funding drawdown processes while providing financial insight and reporting to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with banks, lenders, investors, and funding partners
  • Oversee financial modelling, funding structures, and investment analyses
  • Drive cash flow management and funding drawdown processes
  • Act as senior finance liaison for auditors, legal, and tax advisors
  • Provide financial insight and reporting to executive leadership
  • Build and strengthen finance and funding processes as the business scales

Requirements

  • Proven funding experience with full knowledge of end-to-end funding processes
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with banks and lenders
  • Senior finance leadership background (title flexible)
  • Strong commercial judgement and decision-making ability
  • Confident, decisive leader who is also a collaborative team player
  • Advanced Excel skills

Qualifications

CA(SA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred. Alternatively, a strong commercial finance background with demonstrable funding and capital-raising experience.
