About the Role
Hire Resolve is urgently seeking a Fashion Designer to join their team in Cape Town. As a key member of our retail industry client, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing global trends to inform our design direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and understand global trends in colors, fabrics, styles, and trims for the next season
- Communicate and influence a team consisting of Buyers, Planners, Designers, and Merchandise Leadership
- Package seasonal information-producing trend documents in an enticing and easy-to-understand manner
- Use accurate trend analysis and design skills to develop an extensive range of garments
Requirements
- 3+ years of Newborn and/or Kidswear design experience in a similar fashion retail or creative manufacturing environment
- Skilled in Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience and knowledge of garment construction and fabric
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team
