About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Chef De Partie to join our team at the Wine Estate Restaurant and Tasting Centre in Somerset West. As a key member of our brigade, you will be responsible for running your own section during service, ensuring seamless execution of dishes and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the hot and cold section independently during service
- Prepare and cook dishes to exacting standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve efficiency and speed
- Communicate effectively with guests at action stations and on the terrace
Requirements
- Formal cheffing qualification
- At least 4 years experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong knowledge and skill working with fish, meat, vegetables, and sauces
- Excellent plating skills and refined attention to detail
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
