About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled PET Process Technician to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production machines and equipment. If you have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working with injection blow moulding and stretch blow moulding processes, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure production machines, moulds, and related equipment are correctly set, maintained, and operating efficiently.
- Perform fault analysis and troubleshooting on machine malfunctions, mould issues, and product quality defects.
- Develop and follow maintenance plans, conduct routine maintenance, and document all maintenance activities.
- Set up machines for production runs, optimize machine settings, and document all settings and adjustments.
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance teams, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve production performance.
- Maintain safety, quality, GMP, and housekeeping standards while reporting defects, incidents, and operational issues.
Requirements
- Grade 12 with a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- Minimum 5 years experience in machine setting within a manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Knowledge of injection blow moulding and stretch blow moulding processes, including PET processing
