About the Role
The Branch Manager will be responsible for running and fully managing the Durban branch according to standards and requirements set by the JHB branch, with a focus on building and maintaining a strong customer base in Durban and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of Durban Operations & warehouse
- Management of staff and all other HR matters
- Manage all deliveries
- Fleet vehicle maintenance and fuel usage management
- Monthly reporting of branch expenses
- Inventory (stock takes, stock receipts, safekeeping) management
- Company asset management
- Develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenue
- Strategy for product introductions
- Provide feedback and support to internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
- Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue
- Assist in budget preparation (sales)
- Generate timely sales reports and client visits
- Analyze data to identify sales opportunities
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis
- Propose promotional ideas and materials
Requirements
- Completed Grade 12
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high-pressure Sales Environment
- Relevant Sales and Management qualification (preferred)
- Previous Management experience (preferred)
- Computer literate, especially Excel
- Mathematically proficient to understand and communicate commercial terms (costings, margins, etc.)
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Technically minded
- Ability to build and maintain strong people relations
- Ability to set high goals/standards of performance for self
- Self-organized
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment
