Location: Richard’s Bay
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a qualified and experienced Gas Supervisor to join their team in Richard’s Bay. The Gas Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of gas distribution systems in the area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas operations and maintenance, as well as leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate the activities of gas technicians and other staff to ensure the safe and efficient operation of gas distribution systems
– Inspect gas distribution systems and equipment regularly to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs
– Develop and implement plans and procedures to optimize gas system performance and ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
– Monitor gas usage and supply levels to forecast demand and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate supply
– Investigate and respond to gas leaks, emergencies, and customer complaints in a timely and effective manner
– Maintain accurate records of gas system operations, maintenance activities, and safety inspections
– Train and provide guidance to staff on proper safety procedures, equipment operation, and emergency response protocols
Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in gas operations preferred
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in gas operations, maintenance, or a related field
– Strong knowledge of gas distribution systems, safety regulations, and industry best practices
– Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
