Job Description
The Commercial Technical Manager, in conjunction with the operations manager, various stakeholders, is responsible for compiling annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets and managing the respective budgets following final approved budgets, ensuring that monthly deviations are justified and controlled.
Responsible for identifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
Responsible for writing all commercial technical specifications in line with legislation and group requirements.
Represent Easigas at the SABS committees relating to commercial LPG bulk installations and engineering.
Ensure the continuous functioning of all assets and proactively manage reliability and maintenance projects thereof.
Provide full commercial support in terms of technical / engineering requirements as and when required.
Responsible for the technical design and execution (construction) of commercial LPG installations (new projects, upgrades, and major maintenance) in line with approved budgets, set timelines, safely, and engineering best practices.
Ensure monthly reporting on capex liquidations and opex spending with explanations for spend variances.
Lead and participate in CMMS programs and initiatives.
Ensure that an annual maintenance plan is in place and review deliverables per expectations. Annual maintenance reviews shall be conducted on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Ensure re-qualification of commercial LPG bulk tanks in line with the OHS Act and Regulations, SANS codes, and company standards.
Ensure the continuous functioning of all assets and proactively manage reliability and maintenance.
