Job Overview:
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join their team in Cape Town. As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the design, construction, and management of various civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
- Prepare technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Conduct site visits to inspect construction progress and ensure adherence to project specifications
- Determine and ensure quality of procedures and products
- Perform calculations and analysis to support engineering design
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues
- Monthly measurements and data reports for progress statements to supervisors
- Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in civil engineering
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering or and equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Technician/ in the civil industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software is beneficial
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
