About the Role

Our client in Bellville, Cape Town is seeking a Senior Credit Controller with 5-8 years of experience within the finance industry. This is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EE) position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for collections on outstanding sundry, intercompany, fixer subcontractors
  • Process new customer credit applications received from branches, ensuring all accompanying documents are submitted and information is accurate as per procedure
  • Receive & process customer credit limit reviews as per procedure
  • Manage the debtor’s order hold process when accounts are overdue, or the customer has exceeded the credit limit and take appropriate action as per procedures
  • Open new customer accounts as per procedure
  • Email monthly statements, invoices, delivery & credit notes to customers
  • Keep control over customer credit limits and payment terms as per procedure
  • Proactive account monitoring & continuous follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Follow up on account queries & resolve discrepancies timeously and respond promptly and completely to customers, management, and internal queries
  • Compile request for refund documents as per procedure

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Diploma in Credit 1,2,3 and any related credit certification
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years credit control experience within the finance / financial services industry
  • Experienced on Excel and other software
