A leading engineering and marine infrastructure company specializing in the design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of marine structures including jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, offshore platforms, and port facilities. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our Engineering and Contracts division
Position Overview
The Head of Engineering and Contracts – Marine Structures will provide strategic and operational leadership across all engineering, technical design, and contract management functions. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in the design and execution of marine structures projects.
- Oversee feasibility studies, structural analysis, and detailed engineering designs.
- Ensure compliance with international marine and structural design codes and standards.
- Drive innovation and technical excellence in marine engineering solutions.
Contracts & Commercial Management
- Lead contract strategy, negotiations, and administration.
- Oversee preparation and evaluation of tenders, bids, and technical proposals.
- Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes.
- Ensure contractual compliance and risk mitigation across all projects.
Project Oversight
- Provide executive oversight on major marine infrastructure projects.
- Monitor performance against cost, schedule, safety, and quality KPIs.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities, and subcontractors.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Build and mentor high-performing engineering and contracts teams.
- Represent the company in client meetings and high-level negotiations.
- Foster strong relationships with ports authorities and maritime stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural/Marine Engineering.
- Professional registration (e.g., PrEng, CEng, PE) preferred.
- Minimum 12–15 years’ experience in marine structures or heavy civil infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale marine or port projects.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC or other international contract frameworks.
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and commercial management skills.
