About the Role

As a Senior Inbound Consultant at Craven Cottage CC, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the reservations process, from initial client requests to sending out final travel documents. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for all aspects of the reservations process
• Quote, book, invoice, check payment receipt, and prepare final documentation
• Acknowledge quote and/or booking requests on the day of receipt
• Plan itineraries carefully, offering suggested options and explaining thought processes
• Check supplier confirmations/invoices and ensure accuracy in Tourplan bookings
• Follow up on provisional bookings and confirm or release them as necessary
• Ensure special requests are actioned and acknowledged by suppliers
• Send out deposit invoices, check receipt, and forward to suppliers if necessary
• Assist Accounts Department with rate, invoice, and credit note queries
• Check quotes and bookings for accuracy
• Advise on child and cancellation policies
• Check full payment receipt before sending out travel documents
• Contact clients at least once during their time on the ground
• Serve as emergency contact person for clients while traveling
• Attend supplier presentations and in-house training sessions

Requirements

• Matric certificate
• Tertiary certificate in Travel & Tourism / Hospitality
• At least 4-5 years’ experience in the Inbound Travel market
• Senior experience in handling customer relationships and developing/promoting product and building journeys in the inbound travel industry
• In-depth knowledge of South Africa & Africa, Mozambique, Mauritius, and Seychelles
• Personal or educational travel experience
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word)
• Working knowledge of TourPlan or similar booking/operating system
