About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lodge Anchor to manage the day-to-day operations of our lodge in Philippolis. The ideal candidate will be meticulous in all aspects of managing the lodge, with excellent guest relations skills and strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Meticulous management of the lodge
- Managing and overseeing staff with the General Manager
- Staff training and development
- Assisting the marketing manager to get content for social media
- Hosting duties
- Allocation of airport transfers
- Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed
- Stock control and stock takes
- Managing the housekeeping and front office departments in conjunction with HOD
- Ensuring the lodge maintains the required standards aesthetically
- Assisting with events planning and execution
- Assisting with menu planning and cost control
Requirements
- Grade 12
- A formal qualification will be an advantage
- At least 2+ years’ experience in a high-end lodge environment
- Valid RSA Driver’s License will be an advantage
- Computer literate
- Exceptional Guest Relations skills
- Ability to manage staff
- Understanding and ability to manage the different departments
- Ability to plan ahead and problem solve
- Financial experience in budget control, stock takes and stock control
