About the Role
The Retail Cosmetic Consultant is responsible for engaging with customers to provide expert advice and assistance in selecting beauty and skincare products. They aim to create an exceptional shopping experience by understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and demonstrating how to use them.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers and offer personalized consultations.
- Engage with customers to understand their beauty needs, skin types, and preferences.
- Educate customers on product benefits and proper application techniques.
- Product Knowledge & Demonstration:
- Stay updated on the latest trends, products, and techniques in the cosmetics and skincare industry.
- Provide live demonstrations and offer samples, when possible, to enhance the customer experience.
- Recommend products that align with customers’ needs and ensure they feel confident with their purchase.
- Sales Goals & Upselling:
- Drive sales by identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell products.
- Work towards achieving individual and store sales goals.
- Participate in store events or promotions to boost sales and customer engagement.
- Inventory & Merchandising:
- Assist in maintaining and restocking product displays to ensure they are attractive and aligned with brand standards.
- Track inventory and report low-stock items to ensure product availability.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cosmetic section to create an inviting atmosphere.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with store management and other team members to meet collective sales and service goals.
- Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
Requirements
- Experience: 1+ years in retail, preferably in cosmetics or beauty.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of cosmetics and skincare, ability to recommend products tailored to individual needs.
- Personality: Passionate about beauty, customer-focused, and goal-oriented.
- Availability: Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
