About the Role
The Safety Officer is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, clients, and stakeholders across various sites in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing Occupational Safety, Health, Environment, and Management (OSHEM) standards, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and review OSHEM standards across sites and within the Cross Fire environment.
- Identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements of the OSH Act on both consultant-managed and Cross Fire-managed sites.
- Conduct OSHEM audits and administer related processes.
- Prepare and submit OSHEM reports as required.
Requirements
- NQF 5 qualification in Health and Safety.
- Professional registration with SACPCMP as a Health & Safety Officer or higher.
