About the Role
The Recruitment Pro is seeking an experienced Plant and Yard Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and efficient operation of its plant and yard facilities in Cape Town. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of projects while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all plant and yard operations, ensuring equipment and materials are available and maintained for project needs.
- Oversee the scheduling, allocation, and utilization of construction equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Supervise yard staff and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory, procurement, and logistics to support ongoing projects.
- Report regularly to senior management on plant performance, costs, and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant and Yard Manager or in a similar role within construction or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of plant equipment, maintenance practices, and yard operations.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and resources effectively.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Based in Cape Town, with flexibility to support multiple projects.
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications are required for this role. Relevant experience and expertise will be assessed during the application process.
Salary & Benefits
A competitive monthly salary of R50,000 is offered, aligned with experience and expertise.
