About the Role
A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Plant and Yard Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and efficient operation of its plant and yard facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all plant and yard operations, ensuring equipment and materials are available and maintained for project needs.
- Oversee the scheduling, allocation, and utilization of construction equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Supervise yard staff and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory, procurement, and logistics to support ongoing projects.
- Report regularly to senior management on plant performance, costs, and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant and Yard Manager or in a similar role within construction or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of plant equipment, maintenance practices, and yard operations.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and resources effectively.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Based in Cape Town.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive monthly salary of R45,000 – R50,000, aligned with experience and expertise.
