Business Development Manager (Coffee / FMCG / Hospitality Sector) (JB5853) City Bowl, Cape Town (Hybrid / Field-Based) R30 R40,000 CTC per month uncapped commission Permanent A fast-growing, purpose-driven coffee and FMCG business is seeking a commercially strong Business Development Manager to drive B2B revenue growth across retail, hospitality, and corporate channels. This is a sales-first, target-driven role focused on winning new business while nurturing existing accounts. You will own the full sales cycle, build long-term commercial relationships, expand wholesale distribution, and play a key role in scaling the brand nationally. The role suits a proactive hunter/farmer who understands FMCG or beverage sales, thrives in a relationship-led environment, and can balance revenue growth with margin discipline. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience in B2B sales, or business development (food, beverage, FMCG, or hospitality preferred) Proven track record in new business acquisition and account management Experience selling into hospitality, retail, or corporate environments Strong commercial acumen with understanding of margins, pricing, and revenue targets Confident managing the full sales cycle (prospecting to close) Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills Comfortable working independently in a field-based role Strong reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management skills Digitally confident (Google Workspace / CRM / project tools advantageous) Valid drivers licence and own vehicle Culture-driven, values-led, and team-oriented Duties and Responsibilities: Revenue Growth & Sales Execution Drive consistent monthly revenue growth across wholesale channels Own full sales lifecycle: prospect pitch negotiate close onboard Track performance against budgets and targets Maintain disciplined pricing and discount control to protect margins Manage wholesale orders, invoicing, and basic sales administration New Business Development & Channel Expansion Open new wholesale accounts across retail, hospitality, and corporate sectors Secure listings with retail partners and hospitality groups Build long-term service and equipment rental agreements where applicable Develop commercial proposals and sales decks aligned to customer segments Conduct regular site visits and field sales activity Build strong relationships with buyers, procurement managers, and decision-makers Attend industry events and expos to grow brand presence Identify and activate promotional opportunities in collaboration with marketing Account Management, Collaboration & Reporting Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and drive repeat business Manage reorder cycles and ensure product availability Support merchandising, product displays, and staff training where required Collaborate closely with operations to ensure service delivery Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market insights Monitor customer satisfaction and retention Whats in it for you?
