Job Description

Main roles and responsibilities of the Accountant will be: Creditors Banking Invoicing Daily Responsibilities: Post Outgoing Payments (Creditors) Bank Reconciliation Debtors Invoicing Prepare Daily & Monthly Payments Creditors (GRV’s, Monthly & Service Invoices) Daily Intercompany Transfers Balance of Payment (BOP) & Deposit Invoicing Monthly Responsibilities: Open GRV List (“Live”) Intercompany Invoices Renaming Open Job Card Report Creditors Report Sub-Letting Report Panel Plant Commission Calcs Adhoc Duties: Audit Assistance Negotiate Supplier Settlement Discount Creditors Documentation Basic Requirements: 1) Microsoft Literacy is required 2) In-office Position 3) Previous SAP experience would be beneficial 4) Previous experience in a Finance Role required (minimum 3 years) 5) Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business 6) Drivers license and own transport required (and close to Centurion) 7) Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication skills are important Hours of Work: Monday Thursday: 07:30 16:30 Friday: 07:30 15:00 Basic Salary Annual Bonus: The company pays an annual bonus in December, equivalent to 1 1.5 months’ salary, pro-rated based on your start date. Profit Share: In addition, the company has a Super Profit Bonus Scheme (paid in May) based on personal and company performance. This bonus is discretionary, with a maximum payout of three months salary. This bonus will not be paid if the employee resigns or is terminated before the payout date. The bonus is conditional upon continued employment at the time of payout. Provident Fund: The company has a Provident Fund in place for its employees, and participation in the scheme is compulsory. Your monthly contribution to the Provident Fund will be 7% of 15% of your salary (deducted from your salary), while the company will contribute 8% of 15% per month on your behalf. Medical Aid Allowance: A monthly medical aid allowance of R1,000.00 is provided. The candidate must be on a medical aid plan, either their own (proof required) or the company’s plan. If the company plan is chosen, the candidate’s contribution will be deducted from their salary. December “Shutdown”: The company is closed during “Builders Break” from mid-December until mid-week within the first week of January. During this time employees are required to take Leave.
