Requirements:
- Qualified Electrician -Automation trade will be an advantage.
- Min 5 years as a Technician/Electrician.
- Min N4 electrical qualification.
- Read and understand Electrical drawings.
- Read and understand P&IDs.
- Electrical and PLC fault finding (Siemens S7, Delta, Allan Bradley).
- Able to work on 3 phase 400V supplies.
- Lead the Automation aspect of plant improvements, and on projects.
- PLC Programming.
- AC and DC Drive Set-up, programming and integration.
- SCADA applications development.
- HMI applications development.
Knowledge Required:
- Knowledge on PLC Programming (Siemens S7, Delta, Allan Bradley).
- Be able to do basic fault finding.
- AC Drives.
- WEG Exposure to SCADAs.
Duties:
- Electrical fault finding.
- PLC (Siemens S7, Delta, Allan Bradley) programming and fault finding.
- Preventative maintenance (Focused on plant instrumentation).
- Improvement and upgrades on current electrical and instrumentation installations.
- Plan and execute new automation projects.
- Update and create new checklists.
- Equipment inventories Drives, sensors, PLC spares.
- Maintaining software backups.
- Motors and AC Driver installation and maintenance.
- Executing maintenance schedules.
- Maintenance, fault finding, programming and control of PLCs and AC drives.
- Fault finding and correction of electrical problems.
- Fault finding and correction relays, contactors, and sensors.
- Build and repair electrical circuits.
- Attend to faults and breakdowns pertaining to 3 phase electrical circuits.
- Perform back-ups and restore programs on PLCs.
- Liaise with OEMs on equipment performances and upgrades.
- Electrical Inspection and recertification program, instrument calibration, testing, and re-certification.
- Follow policies, guidelines, national and international norms and standards in executing all maintenance activities.
- Follow a Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Program and maintain good record keeping on Pragma.
- Implementation of Safety and Food Safety requirements in this area and ensure compliance.
- Ensure housekeeping is executed, maintained and Sustained in the relevant areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned and able to work overtime and standby when required.
