About the Role
Stonebridge HR Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to oversee the effective day-to-day administration of finance and admin functions. The successful candidate will provide timeous and relevant financial information to stakeholders, enabling effective operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of full accounting function and department (Accounting, Creditors, Debtors, Cash Management, Asset Control etc.)
- Presentation of monthly management accounts within 10 working days
- Ongoing profitability analysis of products, product lines and divisions
- Compilation and submission of annual budget by latest February
- Manage annual financial audit ensuring adherence to group time-lines
- Ensuring timeous submission and adherence of regulatory reports and payments (VAT, EMP201, Provisional tax etc)
- Custodian of Employment Equity plan, BBBEE, Skills Development Plan
- Custodian of payroll
- Custodian of ERP system (SYSPRO)
- Custodian of IT infrastructure
- Ensuring company’s adherence to corporate governance principles (Legal compliance, segregation of duties, internal controls)
- Active participation at EXCO level to drive implementation of the company’s strategic objectives
Requirements
- BCompt or BCom accounting degree and articles
- CIMA advantageous
- In-depth SYSPRO knowledge preferred. Alternatively other recognized ERP System (SAP, Sage etc.)
- Microsoft Office proficient with especially Excel abilities
- Extensive product costing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Problem solving, numerical and financial skills
- Self-driven, result-driven, team player, curious, reliable, integrity
- Commercial and business acumen
- Stable work history (tenure) showing a steady career path progression
