Job Description
Ensure accurate and timeous submission of all returns to the South African Revenue Service (SARS)
Review and prepare tax calculations, deferred tax schedules, and reconciliations
Oversee tax compliance across multiple entities within the group
Provide technical tax guidance to internal finance teams
Manage SARS queries, audits, and correspondence
Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business
Assist with tax planning initiatives and risk mitigation strategies
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors where required
Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS processes
High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
Confident communicator with strong analytical skills
Qualifications
BCom in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field
Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation (advantageous)
Registered Tax Practitioner with a recognised professional body (e.g., SAIT)
