Job Description

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Owner to join their Product Team. This role involves close collaboration with the Head of Product, Development Team, Quality Assurance Team,
and Management team to facilitate the smooth execution of product development.

As a Product Owner you will be at the forefront of shaping and steering the WIRE platform,
a leading solution in the mining and mineral processing industry. Your primary role will be to
understand the market needs, customer requirements, and technological trends to ensure that WIRE
remains a cutting-edge, customer-centric product. You will work closely with cross-functional teams
including engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer support to build and enhance the
product’s features and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision and Strategy:

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision for the WIRE platform.
  • Align the product strategy with MMSs overall business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

Backlog Management:

  • Create and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with the product vision and customer needs.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria for each feature or enhancement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and adjust the backlog as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders.
  • Gather and synthesise feedback from customers, sales teams, and market analysis.
  • Communicate the product strategy and roadmap to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to the team during the development process.

Customer and Market Understanding:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer experiences and challenges, particularly in the mining and minerals processing industry.
  • Translate customer insights into actionable product features and improvements.
  • Ensure the product adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly in the mining and mineral processing sectors.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product team.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical coordination or product management role in a software development environment.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira).
