Job Description
- Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping/receiving.
- Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and refine warehouse processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness while minimising errors and waste.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and develop strategies to reduce excess inventory and stock outs.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet customer expectations by ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries.
- Control operational costs within budgetary constraints, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 3 years’ work experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in warehousing
- Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary
