About the Role
We are seeking a confident and energetic Allocator to join our Outdoor Team in Cape Town. As an Allocator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the allocations for our Outdoor portfolio, ensuring that we meet our company vision and standards. This is a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment that requires high energy levels, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with Planners and Buyers to fully implement the Merchandise Strategy
- Implementing the Allocation strategy according to store turnover and profile
- Ensuring all stock in the DC is allocated effectively based on trade and store performance
- Providing analytical support and feedback to influence the Planning and Buying teams
- Conducting store and merchandise-related (style and sizing) analysis
- Reporting and recommending store performance
- Liaising with suppliers, stores, and the Distribution Centre regarding queries
- Managing replenishment
- Maintaining effective communication with stores and field
- Monitoring product performance to take appropriate action
- Conducting regular store visits where necessary
Requirements
- 2 – 3 years experience as a Retail/Merchandise/Product/Store Allocator within a retail environment
- Matric & qualification in a related field (BCom or Business related)
- A high degree of numeracy and a detailed and strategic approach to work
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to show initiative and be resourceful
- Sound decision-making ability
- Excellent MS Office (Excel at an advanced level) skills and/or other Planning Tools
