About the Role

The Compliance Officer: Security role at BidAir Cargo: Interloc Freight Services in Johannesburg is a critical position that supports the implementation and maintenance of our Security Management System, ensuring compliance with SACAA and other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Aviation Security Program in compliance with CAA and company requirements.
  • Conduct regular security vulnerability assessments and recommend preventive measures.
  • Document assessment findings and communicate deficiencies to relevant stakeholders.
  • Track corrective actions and verify closure of non-compliances.
  • Foster a security culture.
  • Participate in external audits and facilitate compliance with audit requirements.
  • Report all security incidents and breaches to management promptly.
  • Log incidents on the IQSMS system and ensure thorough investigation.
  • Track and verify closure of security incidents and maintain detailed records.
  • Prepare incident reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of security service providers.
  • Ensure all security equipment and consumables are serviceable and properly maintained.
  • Verify that only authorized personnel operate security-related equipment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of quality incidents and corrective actions.
  • Maintain records of all compliance activities for audit and regulatory purposes.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Risk Management, or related field (NQF Level 6 or equivalent).
  • Drivers License.
  • Functional Training:
  • Auditor Training.
  • Security Management System Training.
  • Safety Management System Training.
  • Risk Management Training.
  • Regulated Training:
  • Aviation Security Level 3.
  • Dangerous Goods Group A.
