About the Role
We are seeking a General Manager with Head Chef experience to join our client’s luxury retreat in the Stellenbosch Winelands. As a hands-on professional passionate about food, guest experience, and nature-driven hospitality, you will play a key role in leading daily operations and ensuring guests enjoy an unforgettable Winelands escape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of accommodation, guest services, and food & beverage operations
- Elevate service standards and ensure high-quality guest experiences
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and support premium guest activities (hot tubs, braai areas, spa options, pool areas, honesty bar)
- Manage budgets, suppliers, stock, and cost controls
- Uphold high standards in guest experience, cleanliness, and property presentation
Requirements
- Proven hospitality leadership experience within a lodge, hotel, or similar environment
- Strong background as a Head Chef or senior culinary professional
- Skilled in menu collaboration, seasonal produce planning, and food quality control
- Strong communication and people-management abilities
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers, stock, and cost controls
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
