About the Role
As a Bookkeeper in our East Rand office, you will be responsible for managing the full Accounts Payable & Receivable cycles, including reconciliations, collections, and supplier queries. You will also oversee General Ledger, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations, while handling bank and cash management, EFT processing, and cash flow forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full Accounts Payable & Receivable cycles, including reconciliations, collections, and supplier queries
- Oversee General Ledger, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Handle bank and cash management, EFT processing, and cash flow forecasting
- Support payroll journals, statutory deductions, and leave provisions
- Ensure tax compliance (VAT/GST, withholding tax) and assist with audits
- Prepare management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reporting
- Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness
Requirements
- Degree in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Financial Management
- Professional certifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, SAICA, ICB)
- Minimum 5 years bookkeeping to trial balance experience
- Strong background in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping finance
- Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments

- Formal education/certifications:
- Degree in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or Financial Management
- Professional certifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, SAICA, ICB)
