Job Description
We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant (Expert) to support and enhance production planning and scheduling systems within a manufacturing environment.
The role focuses on production planning, confirmation, and detailed scheduling, including integration with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related SAP modules.
You will work in an Agile/DevOps environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality SAP solutions and ongoing system support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business requirements and document AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
- Configure and support SAP modules, particularly within manufacturing and production planning.
- Provide solutions for vehicle sales and production processes.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system integration testing.
- Monitor systems, including IDocs processing and interface management.
- Support go-live activities and post go-live stabilisation.
- Troubleshoot system issues and resolve production support tickets within SLA.
- Raise and manage change requests (CRs) and functional specifications.
- Prepare test data, execute testing, and document results.
- Develop user manuals and conduct end-user training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other SAP module consultants.
- Continuously propose improvements to business processes and system support.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in SAP MM / PP / SD
- Proven manufacturing and operations experience
- Solid understanding of:
- SAP configuration and support
- Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs)
- System integration
Advantageous Skills:
- SAP Authorisation knowledge
- ABAP debugging (basic workbench knowledge)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps environments
- Experience in:
- Functional documentation
- Role design and user authorisations
- Process optimisation
Competency Requirements:
- Ability to handle complex problem-solving scenarios
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Capability to work independently on high-level escalations
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
- Deep expertise in SAP best practices and industry standards
Qualifications:
- IT Degree and/or relevant certifications
- 6+ years SAP functional consulting experience
