Location: Kathu, Northern Cape
Main Purpose:
To assist the Project Manager in the delivery of projects by supervising and coordinating the onsite activities.
Key performance areas:
• Full-time On-site Electrical & Instrumentation EPCM project services to the client Projects
• Office in capacity of an E&I Construction Supervisor.
• E&I Construction Supervisor supervises all Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities of projects executed by the Projects Department:
o Verifies that the E&I construction/installations are done in accordance with the E&I
o design, standards and specifications.
o Facilitate quality control and quality assurance through the complete project life cycle
o(manufacturing, construction/installation, testing and commissioning).
o Punching all E&I installations.
o Ensuring that IFC drawings are red lined.
Member of multi-disciplinary Projects Office project teams: E&I Construction Supervisor must manage access to follow trades (E&I) realize in accordance with project schedule.
• The E&I Construction Supervisor must have a good command of client standards and installation specifications.
• E&I Construction Supervisor must have a good command of the client’s Testing and Commissioning procedure and ensure that it is applied to every project
Minimum Requirements:
• National Diploma or Equivalent (Electrical/Electronic Engineering).
• Minimum of 6 years of industrial (operational) experience in a Mining or Plant environment, of which 3 years in an E&I Construction Supervisor capacity.
• Construction management experience.
• Managed projects above R5 million.
• Training and Exposure to conduct Risk Assessments & CTAs Reviews.
• ECSA registration as a candidate.
• Construction Management certification
Other Requirements:
• A valid code EC1 driver’s license (Code 10).
• E&I Construction Supervisor will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit for duty, as per the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
