About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the Investment Management industry is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager
Requirements
- Strong background in accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
