About the Role
We are seeking experienced electrical engineers to join our team in the Netherlands, with a focus on maritime projects. Our clients are international yacht builders and ship owners, requiring skilled professionals to lead commissioning teams, design electrical installations, and perform maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Commissioning Engineer: Lead on-site commissioning teams for international yacht building projects, testing and commissioning power management systems, switchboards, automation, and control systems.
- Lead Engineer: Design maritime and electrical installations, act as the link between project manager and execution team, and ensure compliance with classification society standards (Bureau Veritas, Lloyd’s, CCS).
- Senior Hardware Engineer: Design maritime electrical systems, including switchboards, distribution panels, control consoles, fire alarm, intercom, and CCTV installations.
- Service & Commissioning Engineer: Perform commissioning, service, and maintenance on electrical systems aboard ships worldwide, including battery systems, hybrid installations, and propulsion systems.
- Sitemanager: Coordinate assembly and installation work for maritime electrical projects in the Amsterdam/Aalsmeer region, managing a team, overseeing planning and material supply, and liaising with clients, suppliers, and the project manager.
Requirements
- Lead Commissioning Engineer: 5 years of commissioning experience in the maritime or yachting sector, solid PLC and power management knowledge, VCA VOL / NEN 3140 certification (or willingness to obtain), proficiency in Afrikaans and English.
- Lead Engineer: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience), 5 years as a Lead Engineer in the maritime sector, familiarity with AutoCAD, SEE Electrical or E-Plan, and classification society standards (Bureau Veritas, Lloyd’s, CCS), proficiency in Afrikaans and English.
- Senior Hardware Engineer: National Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, 5 years in maritime hardware engineering, proficiency in Afrikaans and English.
- Service & Commissioning Engineer: Trade qualification or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, maritime sector experience, VCA-Vol certification (or willingness to obtain), proficiency in Afrikaans and English.
- Sitemanager: Trade qualification or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, 2 years as a Site Manager in the maritime or marine construction sector, VCA VOL / NEN 3140 certification (or willingness to obtain), proficiency in Afrikaans and English.

- Lead Engineer: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Senior Hardware Engineer: National Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Service & Commissioning Engineer: Trade qualification or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, VCA-Vol certification.
- Sitemanager: Trade qualification or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
