About the Role
The Factory Manager will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end factory operations in Cape Town City Centre, ensuring consistent achievement of production schedules and output targets. This is an excellent opportunity to drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize productivity, and promote a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end factory operations, including fabrication, machining, assembly, and finishing
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste
- Maintain and enforce quality standards and compliance across all processes
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture
- Develop, mentor, and manage supervisors and production teams
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and procurement to ensure operational alignment
- Monitor KPIs and production performance, implementing corrective actions where required
Requirements
- Minimum N5 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or higher)
- Proven experience within heavy industrial or manufacturing environments (e.g. compressors, pumps, turbines, HVAC, refrigeration)
- Strong machining and fabrication knowledge
- Experience managing production teams and factory operations
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and operational efficiencies
