About the Role
The Electrical Reticulation Site Foreman is a critical role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail. As a site foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing daily electrical reticulation activities on site, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes, standards, and utility requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily electrical reticulation activities on site
- Allocate tasks to electricians, cable jointers, and subcontractors
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades
- Ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and construction schedules
- Oversee installation of MV/LV cables, conduits, ducts, trenches, and pits
- Supervise cable pulling, jointing, terminations, and testing
- Ensure correct installation of transformers, switchgear, kiosks, and substations
- Monitor reinstatement works and final commissioning support
- Enforce site safety rules and electrical safety procedures
- Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety inspections
Requirements
- Trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrician certification
- Proven experience in electrical reticulation or power distribution projects
- Familiarity with relevant local municipalities standards and regulation
- Experience supervising site teams and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, cable installations, and testing
Qualifications
- Valid Driving License (Wireman’s license will be an advantage)
- ORHVS Certificate (ORHVS will be an advantage)
