About the Role
The Business Development Manager position is a critical role that requires identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities for equipment and on-site services. This will involve leveraging existing client relationships to generate immediate sales opportunities, developing and executing strategic sales plans aligned with company growth objectives, and driving revenue growth through both once-off projects and long-term service contracts.
Key Responsibilities

- Drive revenue growth through both once-off projects and long-term service contracts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients within your portfolio
- Understand client needs and position solutions effectively
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business
- Expand footprint beyond traditional markets into new industries
- Attend industry events, expos, and networking platforms
- Identify emerging market trends and opportunities
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or technical sales within Engineering, Mining, Oil & Gas, or Industrial services
- Established network within relevant industries is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and/or on-site services
- Demonstrated ability to close deals and grow revenue
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Willingness to travel extensively

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R40,000 CTC plus commission structure based on proven experience.
