About the Role
The Junior IT Support role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team and develop their technical skills in a dynamic environment. As a Junior IT Support, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to users and assisting with maintaining our organisation’s IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support to users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist with troubleshooting desktop computers, printers, email, and general office applications.
- Install, configure, and maintain user workstations and peripheral devices.
- Assist users with email setup, password resets, and system access requests.
- Assist with basic database administration tasks within SQL environments.
- Support database maintenance activities, including backups, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
- Provide basic support for company servers and assist with routine maintenance tasks.
- Monitor system performance and escalate issues when required.
- Assist senior IT staff with server updates, backups, and system checks.
- Manage and track software licenses across the organisation.
- Maintain accurate records of IT systems, licenses, and equipment.
Requirements
- Relevant IT qualification (Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Information Technology or similar).
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and email systems.
