About the Role
We are seeking a mature and responsible Fundraiser to join our team at the KZN Fundraising Office in Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal. As a Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in attracting new sponsorships and donations, researching potential funders, and building relationships with donors and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Attract new sponsorships and donations against set targets
- Research and identify potential funders and funding opportunities
- Initiate and build relationships (face-to-face, networking, events)
- Produce a targeted number of fundraising proposals per month
- Service a donor portfolio
- Liaise with Projects to identify needs and develop proposals
- Manage information and record the profile and fundraising activity of donors on the database
- Raise funds as per targets agreed upon
Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate
- A sales or marketing qualification (an added advantage)
- Previous selling or Fundraising experience
- Good writing and verbal communication skills
- At least 5 years work experience in Sales and Fundraising
- A valid driver’s license
- Computer literate
