About the Role
The Natural Adabas Developer role at Salix Recruitment involves performing system application programming and related analysis tasks, including designing, building, and maintaining mainframe applications, as well as enhancing existing systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement application programs using Natural 4GL and Adabas.
- Analyse business and technical requirements to translate them into functional solutions.
- Conduct impact and feasibility studies to guide technical decisions.
- Maintain and enhance existing systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers to maintain coding standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align systems development with business needs.
- Ensure adherence to development and change control standards.
- Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation and user guides.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production systems.
- Stay up to date with current trends and tools in mainframe application development.
